We are a retired military family with farm backgrounds. We both grew up on horses. We married in 1994 and moved from South Dakota to Colorado, on to Texas and Maryland. We are finally retired from the military making our permanent home here in Kansas. Being in the military we were always lucky enough to have a duty station that allowed us to have our horses or rural enough to have an acreage.
Moving around the country was always an extra task for us, selling horses and taking some with us. We loved being able to see the horse industry in various parts of the US. We raised, showed and sold horses over the years. Now we are directing our efforts into running a quality horse motel and selling a few good horses at affordable prices.
When traveling around the country we realized that a horse motel right on our route was sometimes hard to find, especially ones with rooms for the horse owners too. When we moved to Kansas we looked for a place right on the interstate.
